This online session focuses on simulating the construction of a tunnel and a cross passage in 3D.
Tunneling is a complex process involving numerous calculations on design to ensure safety in an urban environment. Complex cross-sections and intersections cannot be modeled in 2D as the stress concentration along the joints, and weaker zones cannot be adequately modeled. A 3D analysis eliminates these issues. Based on the geological data provided along with field observations, the design can be made flexible by using FEA Methods. In this 1 hour program, We will demonstrate how to model a tunnel along with a cross-passage that accounts for all issues present in the ground.
All the different training examples through the webinar sessions and certification tasks are designed to enhance the understanding of training. Engineering professionals and graduates are invited to attend this course for free.
