Pile raft Foundation provides an economical foundation option for circumstances where the performance of the raft alone does not satisfy the design requirements. Finite element analysis becomes inevitable in modeling pile raft foundation so as to effectively simulate the interactions between the ground and various foundation elements.

 

In this presentation, the author will share the analysis of the pile raft foundation proposed to support a group of silos. This will cover modeling and analysis aspects associated with pile raft foundation using MIDAS GTS NX.
